I began my career teaching high school math, but I was always drawn to the conversations outside the lesson plan: helping students navigate stress, relationships, family challenges, and what came next.
That led me to school counseling and later to clinical mental health counseling. My work has included education, ministry, hospital care management, substance-use treatment, and private practice. Those experiences help me see people in the context of their lives.
I work with individuals and couples navigating trauma, ADHD, relationship concerns, stress, grief, and life transitions. I am trained in EMDR and shape treatment around each person’s goals and needs.
What working together feels like
My style is collaborative, down-to-earth, and active. I will listen closely, ask questions, help you make connections, and offer practical tools when tools are what you need. There is room for humor and real conversation, even when the work is hard.
Therapy can include processing, problem-solving, learning skills, and practicing new approaches between appointments.

A little more about me
Outside the office, I am usually with my family, caring for animals, spending time with friends, or watching a Hallmark movie or a good crime mystery. I value faith, family, humor, and making home feel like a place people can breathe.
